Shady accusations...
The following is copy of an email that I sent to my co-workers two days ago. Funny thing happen the day following this....(read at bottom)...
You may be glad to know that the local police take seriously calls received concerning strange people lurking around the school. Apparently someone notified the police concerning a man who hangs out near the school and appears to pick up no children. The police were given a discription and acted accordingly.
Yesterday my husband was stopped by the police. Lester says this is the first time he has ever been stopped because he wasn't doing anything. For those who don't know, Lester and I carpool to work. We've been doing this for almost 2 years (November) primarily to save on gas but of course it is also good for the environment. Since April, most days we have ridden a motorcycle. On days when it is not too hot, Lester will pull the motorcycle underneath the shade of a tree across the street from the staff parking lot. He has even managed to find away to nap while waiting on the motorcycle. Whomever reported the strange person was able to tell the police about both the motorcycle and the truck along with a discription of my husband. We were in the truck yesterday when stopped by a young police officer who was just doing his job. The police officer did not initially see me sitting in the middle seat next to Lester. Lester is a big man. The officer asked for identification and registration, then asked if he worked at the school. Lester responded no but his wife does and pointed to me. I gave the officer my school ID badge and began laughing. We realized then why we were stopped. We were allowed to leave after the officer took down our names. I laughed all the way home. We did make sure to thank the officer for taking seriously calls regarding strange people lurking near the school.
Moral: Strange big biker dude lurking near school may simply be a sweet husband picking his wife up from work.
The day after this happened we were stopped again on the way home from work. This time we were closer to home. Our inspection sticker had expired. Not more than one minute before Lester saw the lights we had ourselves noticed that the inspection had been due in July. After the officer ran the information in his car, he got out laughing. I'm fairly certain he saw on the computer that we had been stopped wrongly the day before. He gave us a warning. We had the car inspected before going home.....

Hahahaha! That's really funny. The weather here definitely isn't too hot to ride a motorcycle. It only got up to the low 70's today! I'm excited to be living in a place with a fall again.

lol, I'm laughing so hard that I'm crying! What a great story! I'd be concerned too, if I didn't know that he's such a nice guy! I swear I keep seeing him all over Manhattan lately, too. And then I remember that he's down there with you, obviously lurking supiciously, and that it's just another biker dude that looks like Santa. lol
